I have always been a bit of a geek, in fact, I was one of those people who actually liked math. But not only did I like math, I enjoyed nerdy math jokes as well. This, coupled with the fact that I have a sweet tooth, is one of the reasons that I have always loved March the Fourteenth, or Pi Day. But there has been one problem with Pi Day: there has been no way to reliably make a Pie shaped pie. Without having a custom pan in the market, most of the time people tried to make a Pi shaped pie it would turn out like this.

When I had left my job in the spring of 2010, my creativity was flowing as I started working on a variety of ideas. This is when I started devoting myself to blogging more, working on software/mobile apps and thinking of crazy projects. One of those projects was creating a Pi shaped pan—which is now available on Amazon!

This dream has finally become a reality. We made a limited run of the pans, and I have to say, they turned out pretty dang cool and bake well. Besides baking pies, they do a pretty fine job one brownies and cornbread as well (because of all the crunchy edges you get).
We were successfully funded on Kickstarter back in 2013 and you can now shop for the Pi Pie Pan on Amazon—it will even ship with Amazon Prime! VIVA Pi Day!
