Bring the family downtown on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 10am to 4pm for Artpace San Antonio’s annual Chalk It Up, a free, fun-filled community event highlighting Artpace’s year-round contemporary art programming. Collaborate with thousands of fellow art lovers of all ages as San Antonio’s premier visual artists and mural teams from more than 45 area schools and organizations turn our city sidewalks into vibrant works of art.
Stroll down Houston Street between Main Avenue and Jefferson Street to take in the gallery of chalk creations. See stunning large-scale murals, create art in hands-on Kidzone activities led by Artpace art educators that relate to current exhibitions at Artpace, and stimulate your imagination in the Freestyle section.
