One of the few SA restaurants to be covered by the New York Times, Maria's Cafe off of Nogalitos in South Town is one of my favorite breakfast spots. While you can get your bean and cheese or bacon and egg, what really shines at Maria's is all the crazy customizations that she'll do! My favorites are the Taco Loco and Taco Ondo, but anybody who's anybody has a named taco on the "big board," including this Puff Chilada by Leslie Beza—a puffy taco that has a cheese enchilada in it for good measure!
